Because of its centralized location near lots of Midtown offices, during "happy hour" it gets exactly as crowded as the sports bars around here. Be prepared to wait for lockers and treadmills.

Go through the garage entrance to the hotel, u will get to experience the most pointlessly difficult to traverse revolving door east of the Mississippi. Use the normal doors on either side instead.

Be on the lookout for locker-squatters. NYSC said that they'd start cutting locks off every 48 hours starting Jan. 9th, but I guess the squatters have called their bluff. Some of the locks are dusty.

Reserve a swimming lane (not earlier than one day ahead) to get a guaranteed spot for 30 mins. You'll be sharing the lane with another person, most probably.

Bring your own mat. Members aren't required to wear shoes or socks in the group fitness rooms. So unless you want to catch athlete's foot or a plantar wart, avoid their mats at all cost.

No water. Only a tiny part of the vending machines sell water (who doesn't love a Diet co*ke or 120 calorie energy drink at the gym) one machine doesn't take CC & the other won't take bills.
