All 32 teams, including the reigning champions and the league's newest club in Salt Lake City, are making moves to prepare for the 2024-25 season.

Sam Reinhart, Panthers Reportedly Agree to 8-Year Contract

Sam Reinhart and the reigning Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers have agreed to an eight-year contract extension, according to The Athletic's Pierre LeBrun.
Patrick Kane Reportedly Re-signs with Red Wings on 1-Year Deal

Patrick Kane is returning to the Detroit Red Wings on a one-year deal, according to John Wawrow and Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press.
Ducks Re-sign Isac Lundestrom

Lundestrom will make $1.5 million in 2024-25, per Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
Devils Trade for Johnathan Kovacevic from Canadiens

The New Jersey Devils have acquired defenseman Johnathan Kovacevic from the Montreal Canadiens, the team announced on June 30.
The Canadiens received a 2026 fourth-round pick in return.
Utah Re-signs Sean Durzi

The contract is worth $6 million per year, according to Sportsnet.
Maple Leafs Re-sign Max Domi, Timothy Liljegren

The Toronto Maple Leafs have re-signed pending UFA forward Max Domi and RFA defenseman Timothy Liljegren, the club announced June 30.
Domi signed a four-year deal with an average annual value of $3.75 million, while Liljegren inked a two-year deal worth $3 million per year.
Sharks Re-sign Luke Kunin

Kunin will earn $2.75 million for the 2024-25 season, per Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
Lightning Acquire Jake Guentzel Signing Rights

The Hurricanes netted a third-round pick in return.
Maple Leafs Trade for Chris Tanev Signing Rights

The Stars acquired a 2026 seventh-round pick and the signing rights to AHL winger Max Ellis in return.

Capitals Trade for Logan Thompson from Knights

The Knights netted 2024 and 2025 third-round picks in return. They used this year's pick to draft KHL goaltender Pavel Moysevich at No. 83.
Penguins Trade for Kevin Hayes from Blues

The Pittsburgh Penguins acquired winger Kevin Hayes from the St. Louis Blues, the team announced June 29.
The Penguins also netted a 2025 second-round pick in the trade, while the Blues received "future considerations."
The Philadelphia Flyers will still retain half of Hayes' $7.14 million salary due to the conditions of their 2023 trade with the Blues.
Kings Trade for Tanner Jeannot from Lightning

The Lightning received a 2025 second-round pick as well as a 2024 fourth-rounder, which the team used to draft QMJHL defenseman Jan Golicic at No. 118.
Utah HC Trades for Mikhail Sergachev from Lightning
